Snowflake - the world’s only albino gorilla

For almost 40 years, a truly unique animal caused curiosity and gave pleasure to thousands of visitors to Barcelona zoo. Snowflake was the world’s only albino gorilla, he is thought to have been born in 1964 and he was captured by villagers in Equatorial Guinea as a baby. Instead of the thick brown fur typical of young gorillas, his coat was pure white.

Through a series of fortunate circumstances, Snowflake ended up as a resident of Barcelona zoo where he was given his name. He became internationally famous and was adored by people all over the world.

On November 24 2003, after a two-year battle with skin cancer, Snowflake sadly passed away, but he is still famous now for being a animal record breaker and hitting the headlines.

Scotsman claims to pour 10 pints in 10 seconds

Anyone who has worked behind a bar will know how pesky stouts can be if you’re trying to dole out pints in a timely manner. The Trufill from Scotsman is rumored to be able to pour beer from the bottom up at lightning speed, 10 pints in 10 seconds, without producing too much foam.

This one has been floating around the beer/gear blogosphere for the last few days, but we can’t find anywhere official to purchase the device in order to run our own tests to confirm its claims. All the blogs say it’s a concept, and there are some cool photos and videos of it in action, but we’re anxiously awaiting a little bit of info about the science behind it.

The Trufill would be great for large sports venues, where the speed at which the beer arrives is more important than the quality of the pour. But still, unless there’s some sort of suspended gravity going on, how do you pour beer from the bottom up? Could this possibly be the breakthrough we’ve all dreamed of whilst we have stood behind crowds of people waiting to be served at a bar?!

5 of the Most Ridiculous eBay Auction Ever

5) Nickleback shot glass

I haven’t yet seen a shot glass that I thought to myself “wow, that’s a nice shot glass” and this one is no exception. Who would want to spend money on a Nickleback shot glass – perhaps you can use it a measure to see how drunk you are, keep drinking until you can’t even remember who they are!

4) Second Hand Breast Implants

If you thought you had seen the sickest eBay auction then you haven’t seen anything yet, a girl named Janine decided to auction off her used breast implants in order to get some money for an upgrade. In the auctions pictures she always blanks her face out – I guess for security reasons or perhaps she was embarrassed about having such a sick auction.

3) Jesus Hologram

If you thought every kid in the playground envied you then you’re wrong, don’t think that getting this genuine Jesus Hologram will do you any favours either. With an appealing buy it now price of just $2 I can imagine hundreds of people were disappointed when they woke up and realised they didn’t win it!

2) A Seanut

This lucky owner of this nut had high hopes for their auction, first off it was claimed to be the largest nut in the world and has been in the Guinness Book of Records. Based on that the starting price was a whopping $367,000, over a quarter of a million for a nut! The problem was that it was never stated just how big it actually was so as you could guess, it didn’t sell.

1) Invisibility

As stated in the title of this auction it wasn’t any illusion or magic trick, it wasn’t even any special ninja technique! Anyone who bought this could learn the secret to become invisible, the best thing is that it was all delivered digitally. How can this not be true?

The 5 most impressive collections (if you can call them that)

5) Every super soaker ever made

This man has actually purchased every super soaker that was ever put on the market, it totals to over 200! Many of them are still boxed, perhaps he believes that the price for this ‘antique’ may be better if he keeps them unopened and unused.

4) Pikachu

Belle, who has now been named Pika BelleChu by many of her friends decided to take the Pokémon slogan “Catch ‘em all” a bit too seriously. She in fact has collected over eight thousand Pokémon collectables – the problem is they are all the same!

She took it too far when she actually became a proud owner of the first car that has been modified to look like a Pikachu.

3) Dice

Kevin Cook is the owner of the most dice collection, to date he owns over 25 thousand dice which is constantly on the rise. He actually has a whole website dedicated to his collection if you have a few hours to spare that you don’t mind wasting. In the attempt to get into the Guinness World Records it has taken him over 5 years to photograph his collection.

2) Barbie

It’s every girls dream to have every single Barbie you can but one person has fulfilled that dream! A Dutch fashion designer has dedicated over 40 years of her life collecting these Barbie dolls that were supposedly for her daughter but people questioned that when she starting putting them in plastic cases keeping them safe.

1) Star Wars

Rob Foster has collected around 3 thousand Star Wars figurines and models which are stored in his bedroom. Some of the collectables are extremely rare, there was only 25 Gargan slave girls manufactured so I dread to think how much that cost him. It’s no question that he has the largest collection of this type in the world!

5 of the Most Least Impressive Guinness Worlds Records

5) Longest ear hair

This record is set by Radhakant Bajpai from India, it’s said that at the longest point the hair from the centre of his outer ear is 13.20cm which equates to 5.25inches! Whilst an incredible record it’s not something you would expect to see is it.

4) Longest distance Moonwalked in 1 hour

Back in 2006, September 10th to be precise, Krunoslav Budiselic decided it was time to set a world record for Moonwalking! Yes you heard me correct, this fellow managed to Moonwalk just over 3.2miles in 1 hour.

I’m not sure but if you have tried Moonwalking in the past you will know how difficult and energetic it really is, this man deserves some recognition but a place in the Guinness World Records?

3) Largest traffic cone collection

I’ve seen some weird collections out there but I never even knew people collected traffic cones, David Morgan is the proud owner of 137 different traffic cones designs which entitles him to a place in the Guinness World Records. Experts have stated that David owns two thirds of the entire traffic cone designs.

I’m not sure which is worse, collecting the cones or being the guy that knows how many types there are.

Everyone remembers the pocket knives with all of the various functions, the more the better right? This one which was created in China and has set the record for the most functions on a pocket knife with a staggering 87 tools allowing you to perform 141 different tasks, talk about over the top.

Bernie Barker started out his male stripper career at the age of 60, yes – started! His idea behind it was a great way of exercise after recovering from prostate cancer a few years before. It’s stated that he has won over 30 contents during his career but they have been somewhat vague – do we want to really know?
